CDAC C-CAT Counselling and Seat Allotment Process

CDAC C-CAT Counselling and Seat Allotment Process

CDAC C-CAT Counselling and Seat Allotment Process for the PG Diploma Admission Process at C-DAC.

The admissions process for the PG Diploma at C-DAC is a difficult one that includes two counselling sessions and three rounds of seat allocation. To ensure you make the best decisions, it is crucial to fully comprehend the process.Counselling refers to the process by which candidates submit their preferences for courses and training locations online.

  1. Based on the results of the First counselling, there are two rounds of seat distribution. This means that two rounds of seat assignments (Round 1 and Round 2) will be carried out using the course-center choices provided by the candidates during the first choice filling.
  2. Candidates’ seats will be assigned based on their C-CAT scores precisely according to the order in which they listed their preferences for courses and centres during the counselling process.
  3. Depending on their rankings, some candidates may be granted their lower chosen courses or centres if their rankings are insufficient to grant them their top choices in the first round of seat allocations. Depending on their rankings, these candidates might receive a seat in their higher-preferred course or centre in the second round of seat distribution.
  4. Candidates won’t be able to change seats in the second round of seat allocations if they receive their first preference in the first round of seat allocation itself. The seats assigned in the second round are set in stone and cannot be altered in any way.
  5. The third round of seat allocation is based on the second counseling. Candidates who haven’t received or been confirmed for admission are given one more opportunity to online fill their preferences of courses and training facilities for the open seats that result from the second round of admissions during the second counselling. Following the first installment of the second round of seat allocation’s cost being paid, the second counselling is set to take place.
  6. Candidates will only be able to express choices for courses within the category they chose on the C-CAT application form during both of the counselling sessions. A candidate may, however, list as many preferences for training facilities and programmes under the applicable C-CAT category.
  7. According to the candidate’s preferences for courses and training centres as well as the amount of seats available for the courses at the specific training centres, admissions to various courses at various training centres are offered based on C-CAT rankings.
  8. Therefore, candidates must use extreme caution when selecting their course and centre preferences in order of preference. A applicant will never be provided a course or location that they did not express a preference for during the counselling stage.

Important Note: In any round of seat allocation, a candidate cannot join a lower preferred choice if a higher preference is given to them.

The aforementioned points to be summed up.

1. You must complete your first counselling round after receiving your CDAC-CCAT exam results. Give the best centres and institutions higher preference.

2. Fill out your first counselling round carefully since after you do, you won’t be allowed to make changes in the second round.

3. You must make your first installment payment (Rs 10,000 + GST) as soon as the First Counselling Round results are available. You may make your installment payment online.

4. After that, the second round will be completed automatically; nothing further needs to be done. Just be sure to carefully fill the first cap round. (Note: In any round of seat allocation, a candidate cannot join a lower preferred option if a higher preference is assigned.)

For example:- If you got  Rank A = 2636

                                      Rank A+B = 346

CDAC C-CAT Counselling & Seat Allocation Process

If you have given the below preference in your first CAP/counselling round:

  1. ACTS Pune
  2. Sunbeam Pune
  3. IACSD Pune
  4. Sunbeam Karad

If you receive your higher chosen centre, ACTS Pune, in the second round of seat allocation after receiving Sunbeam Pune in the first, you must only enrol in the higher preferred centre. Under no circumstances may a candidate join a lesser preferred choice.

5. You must fill out your preferences again during the second Counselling round, the final available counselling round, if you did not choose an institute during the first and second rounds of the first Counselling. Therefore, during the second round of Counselling, it is vital that you thoroughly fill out your preferences.
